Derby is emerging as a incredibly rich source of live music and attracting audiences from much further afield. One no longer has to trek miles for a decent night out.

The Venue is gaining ground as a really cool place for quality live bands in Derby. With an increasingly credible line-up at the time of writing tickets were going for Toploader, Absolute Bowie and The Christians! Check out their website for the upcoming gigs.
Gotta love The Flowerpot. I’ve spent many a summer evening at this great venue supporting musician friends who are performing or just soaking up the chilled atmosphere of live, local music.
As a reputable real ale pub this music venue is nestled in the heart of the city’s Cathedral Quarter and hosts regular live acoustic gigs, open mic sessions and Bihm’s stunning Gurkha curries on a Tuesday! What’s not to love!
THE GLEE CLUB
This up and coming venue in Nottingham is a real find! With appearances by Michael McIntrye, superb music gigs (including a residency) with Jake Bugg and The Drifters amongst others, and burlesque extravaganzas from The Gilded Merkin - there’s something for everyone!
Whether your looking at somewhere to spend a birthday, company nights out, Christmas parties or just a bit of light relief from the working week and a chance to unwind, laugh and appreciate some of the country’s best performers. The Glee Club has something for everyone!

THE VICTORIA INN
This buzzing pub on Midland Road in the heart of Derby offers an eclectic mix of live gigs and DJ club nights.
With a packed programme of entertainment from local artists you go a long way to find anywhere who supports local talent like these guys. Not only that, this music venue in Derby has a function room at the back which can be hired out for any occasion!
